Return to Play
Children need the freedom and the time to play; play is not a luxury play is a necessity.
-Kay Redfield Jamison

Importance of play
Play is how children learn how to navigate socially, how to build friendships. Not only is it key for social development, play is how children learn fine motor and gross motor skills.
Screentime
Screentime takes time away from free, creative, unstructured play. Time spent in front of a screen is robbing your child the opportunity to stretch and grow their creativity, problem solving skills and independence.
Adults need play too!
The idea that only young children need play is just not true. We all need time to stretch our creative muscles, be silly and have fun. So let's lighten up and join our kids in play!
